Real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR) is a powerful molecular biology laboratory technique used for monitoring polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in real time. This advanced laboratory technique has vast application in the field of biotechnology. In order to provide cutting edge hands-on training on real time PCR to post graduate students of the School of Life science and Biotechnology, a workshop on real-time PCR was organised by the Department of Biotechnology with collaboration from HiMedia Pvt.Ltd on September 13, 2019. Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, coordinated with Dr. Sanirbandha Chowdhary (Product Executive) and Ayan Mitra (Business Executive), both experts from HiMedia Pvt. Ltd. to organise the workshop. The workshop was highly interactive and provided hands on training of real-time PCR to students.
