School of Life Science and Biotechnology organised a field trip to Purulia, West Bengal for first year students having Botany as their elective subject during March 12-14, 2020. Thirty students accompanied by three faculty members of the School, Dr. Moumita Gangopadhyay, Dr. Subhendu Bandyopadhyay and Dr. Joydeep Paul took this field trip to Ayodhya Pahar at Purulia. During this excursion, students collected different plant species and performed several field studies including calculation of species richness and diversity. The trip not only equipped students with practical knowledge and deep appreciation for the subject but also provided them with a memorable experience.
