S.S. Easwaran, Microbiologist by training with overall experience of 25 years, is an Academic Dean with Biocon Academy, Bangalore where he is instrumental in need identification and development of training courses. He also is the interface between the faculty, the students and the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at Biocon to unleash the application potential in the industry to enhance the employability of the students. He was a General Manager for Technology and Services business of BiOZEEN, and responsible for the Biopharmaceutical Production Training and Regulatory Services departments before joining Biocon Academy. He was Technology Manager at Merck Millipore handling Biomonitoring Tools, Filtration –Purification-Chromatography, where he published articles in journals in India and Europe and served as Scientific Contributor for the Journal Pharmaceutical Technology- Europe. Industry journey started for him with bioMerieux who is global leaders in in vitro diagnostics and industrial microbiology applications. He started his career as a Lecturer in Industrial Microbiology in 1995 at Madurai Kamaraj University college where he published technical articles in journals of national and international repute . He has one patent in his credit as a co-inventor and has authored in a book “Handbook of Research on Science Education and University Outreach as a Tool for Regional Development” published by IGI Global in the USA.
