Dr. Swarupa Ghosh graduated from Jogamaya Devi College (University of Calcutta), received M.Sc. degree in Botany with Cell Biology, Molecular Genetics as specialization from University of Calcutta (Ballygunge Science College). She did her Ph.D. from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata (University of Calcutta). Before joining IICB, she worked as Junior Research Fellow of the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India in a DAE-BRNS funded collaborative project with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai and Jadavpur University. She worked as a CSIR post doctoral research fellow at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology and as D.S. Kothari Post Doctoral Fellow of UGC at University of Calcutta. She also worked as a Guest Faculty for Post Graduate course (Botany) at Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata. She joined Adamas University in the year 2017. Her research interest is focused on formulation of liposomes and nanocapsules (vesicular delivery systems) encapsulating polar and non polar molecules, small RNAs for targeted drug delivery, characterization of nanomaterials, biodistribution, toxicokinetics and toxicodynamic studies, in vivo application of nanomaterials in preventing mitochondrial dysfunction in diseases. Dr. Ghosh is keen to share her knowledge and expertise with young minds, make them think, continue to learn and enrich herself through the process.
