Dr. Rajib Majumder completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology with 1st Division from the University of Calcutta. He was awarded Ph.D. from the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology and Calcutta University in 2015 in the domain of Biochemistry and Applied Microbiology.

During Ph.D., he had broad research exposure and his research interests span over several topics like protein chemistry and enzymology, protein folding, chaperone-mediated protein compaction and stabilization, functional food and enzymatic modifications, CRISPR-Cas9/Cpf1 based genome editing to combat human disease, Next generation sequencing in Oxford Nanopore platform, environmental biotechnology, rheumatoid arthritis model etc. Till date, he has published numerous research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals (cumulative impact factor: 30.104; over 120 citations) in his credit and is the co-author of other few book chapters.

His postdoc research paper has been awarded \’outstanding paper\’ in 1st Regional Science and Technology Congress-2016, organized by S&T Division, Govt. of West Bengal and NITTTR, Kolkata. Moreover, his recent work has been highlighted in “Nature-Asia blog” and appeared in “The Hindu” English newspaper on 26 September 2016.
